This role provides technical leadership across server, virtualization, cloud, and identity platforms, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and operational excellence The position operates within a complex, application-centric environment and works closely with Systems Administrators, Security, Network, and Business Services teams to deliver cohesive, enterprise-grade solutions.\nThe Senior Systems Engineer will be required to have direct, long-term experience with the following technologies:\nRequired:\nVMWare\nApplication server support and deployment\nWindows server administration\nServer OS patch management\nData backup system management\nBasic networking concepts\nIIS administration\nRemote access methodologies\nAutomation scripting (PowerShell / VB)\nCommand line (PowerShell CLI / cmdlets)\nDNS / DHCP\nMicrosoft domain management\nFile & print services\nAD and ADFS\nAdditionally, there are many technologies that this position must have exposure to, and in-depth experience is preferred:\nDatabase server management\nLinux server administration\nCisco networking experience\nNetwork load balancing\nMicrosoft Azure cloud ecosystem\nMicrosoft Entra ID\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nPromotes superior guest service.\nMaintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.\nEvaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise.\nProvides consistent developmental support, mentorship, and guidance to direct reports to ensure that they have the tools, information, and coaching necessary to conduct their work at the highest level.\nMonitors server performance and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. \nThe position is responsible for working with and becoming knowledgeable in other operating systems and platforms as needed to meet business requirements.\nResponsible for technical architecture and makes recommendations related to system support.\nIs a top-level technical contributor with advanced knowledge and experience working with operating systems and related hardware and software. \nResponsible for the design, configuration, maintenance and support of servers, collaboration systems, storage area network, enterprise backup, virtual servers, and systems management environments.\nPresents information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and equipment.\nDesign: Works with management, peers, and vendors to design and implement hardware/software configurations, logical models, operational management models, and business continuity plans for systems under management.\nSupport: Works with management, peers, and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, implementation, and fault root cause analysis for systems under management. \nTechnical Writing: Creation and maintenance of troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management. Authors and peer-reviews knowledgebase articles documenting fault root causes and their respective resolutions.\nTraining: Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems under management. \nContinuous Improvement: Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools, and processes for systems under management.\nCarries and responds to off-hours communications device, to provide 24x7 support for systems under management.\nLeads Change Management process and methodology as it relates to Systems Administration\nResponsible for enforcing the privacy rules pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as applicable to ilani\nResponsible for understanding and ensuring PCI compliance requirements are effectively implemented\nSupports established enterprise Shared Services Agreement and adheres to ongoing collaboration efforts among sister properties.\nResponsible for maintaining and enforcing confidentiality and privacy rules pursuant to all applicable regulations\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and eight (8+) years of Information Technology experience.\n~OR~\nAssociate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and ten (10+) years of progressive Information Technology experience.\n~OR~\nHigh School Diploma or GED and twelve (12+) years of progressive Information Technology experience.\nMinimum of two (2) industry-recognized technical certifications relevant to enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud platforms.VMware, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 / Security, CompTIA (Security+, Server+, Network+)\n\nMust possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.\nAbility to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in one or more jurisdictions.\nAdvanced knowledge of operating systems, backup solutions, systems management, monitoring and expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.\nDemonstrated advanced experience working in a VMWare environment.\nDemonstrated advanced experience working with all aspects of Window Server and its components.\nExperience administrating AD and ADFS environments.\nExperience working with Cloud solutions in a hybrid environment.\nAdvanced knowledge of:Windows Server administration\nVirtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)\nActive Directory / Microsoft domain services\nDNS/DHCP and core networking concepts\nBackup and disaster recovery systems\nServer patching and lifecycle management\nIIS administration and application server support\nRemote access technologies\n\nDemonstrated technical troubleshooting skills.\nExperience working with Mobile devices and support.\nStrategic thinking with hands-on execution\nStrong communication across technical and non-technical audiences\nDetail-oriented with focus on reliability and security\nAbility to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments\nCollaborative team mindset aligned with enterprise service delivery\nDemonstrated knowledge working with Microsoft 365 and e-mail administration\nMust possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and related hardware, network and authentication services, and mass storage devices and their related technologies.\nExperience in using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex problems. \nSome travel may be required.\nMust be willing to work in a smoking environment.\nMust be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMicrosoft Certifications preferred\nVMWare Certifications preferred\nExperience working with VxRail preferred\nIn depth experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, hybrid infrastructure) preferred\nFamiliarity with enterprise security platforms and vulnerability management preferred\nWork Shift:\nAny (United States of America)Wages:\nThis role offers a starting wage of $110,789.00 annually.
