This is a broad engineering role. You will work across backend services, cloud infrastructure, internal applications, integrations, databases, automation and production systems. We are specifically looking for a versatile engineer who enjoys solving problems across the technology stack rather than remaining within a narrow specialization.\n\nWhat You Will Work On : \n\n- Backend services\n\n- Internal operational platforms\n\n- Admin applications\n\n- Financial integrations\n\n- API integrations\n\n- Databases\n\n- Cloud infrastructure\n\n- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)\n\n- Monitoring\n\n- Logging\n\n- Automation\n\n- Reporting systems\n\n- Reconciliation tools\n\n- Production support\n\nResponsibilities : \n\n- Develop and maintain backend services\n\n- Build internal operational and administrative applications\n\n- Integrate third-party systems and APIs\n\n- Develop operational and reconciliation tools\n\n- Maintain cloud infrastructure\n\n- Improve CI/CD pipelines\n\n- Automate deployment and operational processes\n\n- Build monitoring and alerting\n\n- Maintain centralized logging and observability\n\n- Support database performance and reliability\n\n- Implement secure secrets and configuration management\n\n- Build automated tests\n\n- Investigate production incidents\n\n- Improve system resilience\n\n- Participate in architecture and code reviews\n\nRequired Skills : \n\nStrong experience across several of the following : \n\n- Backend development\n\n- SQL / PostgreSQL\n\n- Relational databases\n\n- REST APIs\n\n- Modern web development\n\n- Cloud platforms\n\n- Docker\n\n- CI/CD\n\n- Infrastructure as Code\n\n- Monitoring and observability\n\n- Message queues\n\n- Distributed systems\n\n- Linux\n\n- Git\n\nExperience with financial systems is strongly preferred.\n\nPlatform Mindset : \n\nYou should be comfortable investigating problems across the entire system. For example, you should be comfortable tracing a transaction across APIs, logs, databases, queues and external integrations to determine exactly what happened.\n\nDevOps Responsibility : \n\nWe do not operate a separate large DevOps department. Engineering owns production. You will therefore work closely with the CTO to ensure reliable deployments, production monitoring, automated alerts, database backups, disaster recovery, infrastructure security, high availability, and production observability.\n\nThe Type of Engineer We Want : \n\nWe value breadth, ownership and engineering judgment. You might work on a backend API today, improve the deployment pipeline tomorrow and build an operational reconciliation tool the following day. You should enjoy that environment.
