Our work helps advance scientific discoveries that improve human health, and behind that work are teams ensuring our customers and partners receive the support they need.\nWe’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Accounts Receivable team in Cambridge on a 6-month fixed-term contract.\nThis is a hands-on opportunity for someone who knows credit control, enjoys building strong customer relationships and is confident working across customer portals to manage accounts, resolve issues and support timely payment.\nThe role is hub and hybrid, with the expectation of working from our Cambridge office one day per week, on Thursday, to collaborate with the onsite team.\nWhat you’ll bring\nFor this opportunity, there are two key requirements:\nPrevious credit control / Accounts Receivable experience, including the collection of overdue balances\nPractical experience using customer portals within a credit control environment\nYou’ll also bring strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timescales. Experience using SAP would be advantageous, as would additional European language skills.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nYou’ll support the Accounts Receivable function, helping to keep customer accounts accurate, payments moving and queries resolved. Your responsibilities will include:\nManaging and maintaining Channel Partner accounts, including account reconciliation\nCollecting outstanding customer balances and supporting payment within agreed terms\nMonitoring customer credit status, credit blocks and credit exposure\nManaging cash application and payment posting across EMEA accounts\nUsing customer portals as part of the day-to-day credit control and collection process\nIssuing customer statements, collection correspondence and dunning letters\nInvestigating and resolving account queries, discrepancies and disputes\nWorking directly with customers to resolve issues and facilitate payment\nCollaborating across Customer Service, Sales and other functions to maintain a positive customer experience\nSupporting internal and external audit requests\nMaintaining accurate customer account records and following established credit and collection processes\nYou’ll also spend approximately 50% of your working time supporting testing activities for our Next Gen ERP project, giving you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change alongside your core credit-control responsibilities.\nWhy Illumina?\nThe Illumina experience starts with our people: connected, collaborative and united by purpose. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range applies to the primary posting location listed above. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range will be updated accordingly.
