Join us and bring your expertise to products that make a difference globally.\nAs a Process development engineer , you will collaborate with field and MFG teams to bring the voice of the customer into the factory and improve MFG & field processes. You will provide technical troubleshooting support for elevated customer issues and work with cross functional SMEs to drive preventions. You will lead initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and reducing service costs in the field.\nThe role requires a dynamic and fast learning individual who can travel to global customer sites at a short notice to recover down instruments.\nResponsibilities:\nParticipate in process sustaining, improvement and development of quality test activities in production and service of genetic sequencers\nTroubleshoot production line issues related to yield, quality and throughput\nConstruct and execute controlled experiments to optimize processes, address yield and quality issues and drive implementation of solutions to meet production and customer experience goals\nAnalyze process test results, issue reports and make technical recommendations\nWork cross functionally with Serivce , Manufacturing, Quality & LCM to develop processes for new products and improve processes of existing products\nRepresent operations needs with service & support teams and vice versa\nDefine technical requirements and develop manufacturing and service related procedures \nWork on teams to develop and transfer new processes/products to production and enhance their robustness\nTravel to global customer sites with limited advance notice to support instrument troubleshooting when required\nInterpret schematics, diagrams, layouts to perform testing & troubleshooting functions\nPerforms operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment\nHas technical understanding of various platforms and can troubleshoot instrument issues independently\nDevelop & deliver instrument theory of operations & troubleshooting classes for peers\nListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.\nRequirements:\nWork experience in the biotech or semiconductor industries is desirable\nHigh level problem solving and reasoning skills required\nExperience with medical device manufacutring or service preferred\nExperience with statistics, statistical process control and DOE techniques is a plus\nExperience with high volume production in a high tech, high volume industry is a plus\nHigh level computer skills are required. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long-term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
