Come join us on this journey to create a brighter, more sustainable future in the Columbus area.\nBottom of Form\nJob Summary:\nThe Process Quality Control Operator (PQC) is responsible for collecting product samples at designated stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements. This role is critical identifying process deviations early and supporting accurate, timely quality control testing.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPreparing samples for Gel Content Testing (Cross Linking).\nPreparing the samples on the test glass to process through the laminator, per SOP.\nLabel, record, and deliver samples to the PQC Engineers, IQC, or laboratory team for analysis.\nPerform monthly J Box Pull Testing for all 8 machines, per SOP.\nCollect all required Busbar samples from production team and conduct soldering pull testing requirement of both busbar machines, on each line, monthly, per SOP.\nEnsure samples are collected in a clean, contamination-free manner using proper tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintain detailed records of sampling activities, including batch numbers, times, and locations.\nSupport quality investigations by providing accurate sampling data and assisting with re-sampling when required.\nCommunicate any abnormalities observed during sampling (e.g., visual defects, off-spec appearance) to the PQC Engineer or production supervisor.\nAdhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and company quality and safety policies.\nVerify sampling tools and ensure samples are properly maintained.\nParticipate in training and continuous improvement initiatives related to sampling and inspection of the samples.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.\n1+ year of experience in a production manufacturing or quality environment preferred.\nFamiliarity with sampling techniques and basic quality control principles.\nAttention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.\nAbility to follow procedures and maintain documentation accurately.\nBasic computer and data entry skills.\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements:\nAbility to stand, walk, and move across production areas during shifts.\nAbility to stand for long periods of time.\nWork will be performed in various environmental conditions (e.g., laminator room, high-temperature areas).\nUse of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes as required.\nPreferred Experience (Optional):\nKnowledge of ISO 9001, or industry-specific standards.\nPrior experience with sample tracking, chain-of-custody, or QC documentation.\nAt Illuminate USA, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.\nWe proudly embrace equal opportunity for all, ensuring that all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
