This position is ideal for professionals with strong experience inrenewable energy project delivery in the US market, including a sound understanding of local standards and grid connection frameworks.\nWhat you can expect as Lead/Senior Engineer - BESS at Illumine-i:\nYou’ll lead the engineering design and delivery of utility-scale and C&ISolar and BESS projects\nYou’ll ensure all designs comply with US Standards, grid codes, and local regulatory requirements\nYou’ll coordinate with internal teams, EPCs, consultants, and utilities to ensure seamless execution\nYou’ll oversee preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, protection studies, and connection documentation\nYou’ll support project development, permitting, and due diligence processes\nYou’ll provide technical leadership during project execution, commissioning, and handover\nYou’ll stay up-to-date with evolving industry standards, AEMO/DNSP requirements, and best practices in clean energy engineering\nEssential Qualifications include:\n5+ years of hands-on experience inSolar PV + BESS engineering\nDeep knowledge of US Standards\nProven experience in power system design, energy storage integration, and grid connection\nFamiliarity with AEMO, DNSP processes, and grid application procedures\nProficient in tools like AutoCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, PVsyst, or similar\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering or related field\nCPEng or RPEQ accreditation (or in progress) is desirable\nExcellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills\nGreat to have:\nBackground in financial modeling of BESS ROI, LCOE, and CapEx/OpEx
