It’s to build a security function that scales with the business and actually works in the real world.\nThe Director of Customer Trust leads the company’s customer-facing security engagement program. Reporting to the VP of Security, this role is responsible for building trust with our customers, and ensuring customers understand the company’s security architecture, practices, and product security model.\nThe Director will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Security teams to support enterprise sales cycles, manage customer security reviews, and scale the company’s ability to respond to security assessments and inquiries.\nThis role acts as the primary interface between the Security organization and customer security teams.\nYour Impact:\nCustomer Security Engagement\nServe as the primary security representative during customer security reviews and technical discussions\n\nParticipate in enterprise sales cycles to address customer security questions and architecture reviews\n\nEngage directly with customer security teams and CISOs to explain the company’s security posture\n\nSecurity Questionnaire & Assurance Program\nLead the team responsible for responding to security questionnaires and customer security assessments\n\nMaintain and improve the security response knowledge base and evidence repository\n\nImprove efficiency and scalability of questionnaire responses\n\nOwnership over Illumio’s customer facing Trust Center\n\nSales Enablement\nPartner with Sales and Customer Success teams to remove security-related blockers in enterprise deals\n\nProvide clear explanations of the company’s security architecture and product security controls\n\nDevelop security collateral that supports customer trust and sales enablement\n\nCustomer Insight & Feedback Loop\nIdentify recurring customer security concerns and communicate them back to Security and Product teams\n\nWork with Product Security and Engineering to address systemic trust gaps\n\nHelp improve documentation and transparency around security practices\n\nYour Toolkit:\n10+ years of experience in customer trust, cybersecurity, security assurance, product security, or security consulting\n\nExperience engaging directly with enterprise customers on security topics\n\nFamiliarity with common security frameworks and assessments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, PCI-DSS, SIG, CAIQ)\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for customer audiences\n\nBonus Points:\nExperience in complex multi-cloud, hybrid, and large scale platform security environments\n\nExperience supporting enterprise sales cycles, customer support and customer success escalations\n\nExperience managing customer security or security assurance programs\n\nExperience previously working at a security vendor in a similar trust role\n\n#LI-PO1 #LI-ONSITE\nOur Commitment\nIllumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions creates a culture of belonging, drives our future, and makes us stronger together in support of our customers and their success.\nAll official job offers from our company are extended directly by our recruitment team and will be sent through an official E-Signature document for your review and signature.
