We provide English language training as well as and vocational courses (VET) in Marketing, Project Management and Business to international students living in Australia.\nILSC & Greystone College Brisbane seeks an enthusiastic Student Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team at our CBD campus. This position is a varied and challenging role and has plenty of opportunity for growth and development the international education industry.\nJob Duties:\nThe duties of this position include, but are not limited to:\nStudent Advising\nSupporting students on-campus by advising on aspects such as cultural acclimatization and general academic issues\nSupporting student accommodation requests (i.e. Homestay and student residence)\nProviding a special duty of care for under-age students with regular check-insPreparing for new student intake (ELICOS & VET)\n\nFacilitating academic and financial intervention and problem-solving (if required)\nSupporting agents by answering phone calls, responding to questions about current student status and providing course information\nActing as a point of contact for walk-in students, conducting school tours and ensuring successful conversion\nFacilitating student extensions\nIssuing Letter of Acceptance and COEs and working with the school's database system\nOther\nAnswering the phone, transferring calls and taking messages\nHelping students with questions and problems and/or leading them to the correct department\nUpdating PRISMS site with relevant student information\nAssisting the manager & academic director with assigned tasks\nSupporting reception (if required)\nAttending general staff and team meetings and training sessions as assigned\nEssential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes\nExperience working in an international college and / or school\nDemonstrated customer service skills\nOutstanding organisational skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nExcellent technical skills (database, Microsoft 365, PRISMS etc..)\nA passion for education and sensitivity to the cultural and language issues facing our overseas students\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nFluency in written and spoken English is a must\nSecond language is a big plus (i.e. Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Japanese)\nEducation and Experience Required\nJapanese Native Speaker Preferable\nContact Information\nWhile we thank all applicants, only those who are shortlisted will be contacted.\nAbout ELS, ILSC & Greystone College\nA world leader in language education & vocational training, ILSC Education Group, which opened its first language school in Vancouver, Canada in 1991 and Greystone College in 2002, offers life-changing educational experiences in Canada, Australia, Ireland and India, some of the world’s most attractive and popular English-speaking work and study destinations.
