The successful candidate will serve as a key connection point between engineering leadership in the United States and the Bangalore office. They will help reinforce department culture, implement standard engineering practices, support the adoption of the agentic SDLC, track key engineering metrics, and manage local operational processes such as time tracking and capitalisation coordination.\n\nWe are looking for someone who can bring operational discipline, engineering context, and strong judgement to conversations with engineers, agile leaders, product leaders, finance partners, and senior engineering stakeholders. You should be comfortable asking good questions about how teams plan and deliver work, where process friction exists, what metrics are telling us, and how to improve outcomes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. You do not need to be the strongest technologist in the room, but you should be credible enough to earn the trust of engineering teams and pragmatic enough to help them move faster while maintaining quality.\n\nResponsibilities: \nEngineering operating cadence and cross-site communication routines.\nAdoption and reinforcement of standard engineering practices, including the agentic SDLC.\nEngineering metrics, dashboards, and reporting for delivery, quality, productivity, and operational health.\nContinuous improvement practices across teams and squads.\nTime tracking and capitalisation processes for the Bangalore office.\nCoordination between Bangalore-based teams and US-based engineering, product, agile, finance, and people stakeholders.\nYou will be accountable for helping teams operate with clarity, consistency, transparency, and strong alignment to engineering leadership priorities.\nServe as a key point of contact between US headquarters and the Bangalore office, communicating and reinforcing engineering department culture, process, priorities, and decisions.\nPartner closely with the Agile Director, engineering leaders, product leaders, and Bangalore-based teams to support predictable delivery and consistent execution.\nHelp implement standard engineering practices across teams, including the adoption, implementation, and continuous improvement of the agentic SDLC.\nUse AI tools consistently and responsibly to improve personal productivity, operational efficiency, communication, analysis, and execution.\nTrack, analyse, and report on key engineering metrics, including delivery predictability, throughput, quality, operational health, team process adherence, and continuous improvement progress.\nCreate clear dashboards, summaries, and leadership updates that make risks, trends, dependencies, and improvement opportunities visible.\nIdentify areas of improvement across engineering processes and support teams in practical, measurable continuous improvement efforts.\nSupport team operating rhythms such as planning, dependency tracking, delivery reviews, retrospectives, incident follow-up, and improvement action tracking.\nManage time tracking and capitalisation processes for the Bangalore office, partnering with finance and engineering leaders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.\nHelp remove operational bottlenecks by clarifying process ownership, improving handoffs, documenting decisions, and escalating blockers appropriately.\nPromote an engineering culture where quality, safety, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and responsible use of AI-assisted development practices are built into how teams work.\nCollaborate effectively with distributed stakeholders, including flexible overlap with US time zones when needed.\nHelp mature the Indian engineering presence by setting high standards for ownership, transparency, collaboration, and execution.\n\nWhat success looks like in the first 6-12 months: \nBangalore-based engineering teams have a clearer and more consistent operating rhythm aligned with US-based engineering leadership.\nThe agentic SDLC is understood, adopted, and reinforced through practical team-level routines and measurable practices.\nEngineering metrics are available, trusted, and used to support better decisions, earlier risk identification, and continuous improvement.\nTime tracking and capitalisation processes are accurate, timely, well documented, and easier for teams to follow.\nTeams are more predictable in delivery and better aligned with business objectives.\nOperational bottlenecks and recurring process issues are surfaced, tracked, and improved through clear ownership and follow-through.\nCollaboration between Bangalore-based teams and US-based stakeholders is smooth, clear, and productive.\n\nRequirements: \n7+ years of professional experience in engineering operations, agile delivery, technical program management, software engineering leadership, or a closely related role.\nExperience working directly with software engineering teams and a strong understanding of modern software delivery practices.\nDemonstrated ability to implement, reinforce, and improve engineering or agile operating practices across multiple teams.\nExperience building, tracking, and communicating engineering metrics, dashboards, or operational reporting for leadership audiences.\nStrong experience with continuous improvement practices, including identifying bottlenecks, facilitating improvement actions, and measuring outcomes.\nExperience coordinating across distributed teams and stakeholders, preferably across India and the United States.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate leadership decisions into clear, actionable guidance for teams.\nHigh ownership mindset, strong follow-through, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially for recurring operational processes and compliance-sensitive reporting.\nExperience using common engineering and agile collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Atlassian Analytics, and spreadsheets.\n\nNice-to-have experience: \nExperience helping grow or mature an engineering team or engineering site in India.\nExperience with time tracking and software capitalisation support or engineering cost allocation processes.\nExperience introducing AI-assisted development tools, agentic coding workflows, developer automation, or productivity-enhancing engineering practices.\nExperience with platform, SaaS, EdTech, or other product engineering organisations operating at scale.\nExperience supporting teams that own production services and use incident, observability, reliability, or operational review practices.\nFamiliarity with microservices-based systems, cloud platforms such as AWS, or modern web application delivery practices.\nExperience facilitating cross-functional planning, dependency management, retrospectives, operational reviews, or leadership business reviews.\nExperience with change management, internal communications, or training related to engineering process adoption.\n\nExpectations: \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving
