To date, it has partnered with more than 1,105 schools, constructed 188 school buildings/learning centers, enrolled over 188,000 previously out-of-school children, reached more than 817,000 children with education in emergency and protection services, and positively impacted over 740,000 people through education and transformational leadership programs.\n\nProject Accountant\n\nAbout the Job\n\nPosition title: Project Account\n\nReporting to: Regional program Coordinator and Functionaly report to the Finance manager at the country Office \n\nLocation: South West Ethiopia Region – Mizan Tepi Town \n\nDuration of Contract: Ten Month with possibility of extension \n\nSalary: As per the organization salary scale\n\nJOB SUMMARY:\n\nResponsible for the adherence of financial policies & procedures, internal control, cash management, budgeting, budget monitoring, financial reporting, audit facilitation, staff supervision and support. Also responsible for the proper functioning of the finance units in in Ethiopia country office in all matters involving finance and control and management of assets\n\nRoles and Responsibilities include,\n\nEnsure Compliance with I1D’s policies and procedures and with the regulations and laws of the government of Ethiopia in all financial matters; \n\nBe responsible for ensuring proper controls over all Imagine1day regional office assets and for maintenance of proper systems and procedures for all accounting transactions. \n\nResponsible for the preparation of monthly budget variance by project with a project cash flow analysis and report to Finance coordinator\n\nReview the regional monthly financial reports against the documents.\n\nBe responsible for handing cash request from regionals as per the Standard in a monthly basis.\n\nResponsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly donor template reports to finance coordinator\n\nResponsible for the review of sub grant partners report\n\nResponsible for the Income tax, pension and PF payment in a monthly basis\n\nResponsible for Clearing payables and Receivables in a monthly basis \n\nResponsible for the preparation of Bank reconciliations in a monthly basis.\n\nReview the Record transactions in appropriate ledgers and posting the transaction to QB in a monthly basis.\n\nResponsible for the proper functioning of the finance units in all offices in all matters involving finance and control and management of assets.\n\nPerform other duties assigned by Finance Coordinator and program coordinator\n\nGender Equality Commitments\n\nPromote gender equality and equal access to opportunities, information, and resources.\n\nEnsure fair evaluation, development, and promotion based on merit and performance.\n\nRespect all individuals regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, race, color, ancestry, national origin, age, or marital status.\n\nValue and respect cultural diversity.\n\nSafeguarding Commitment\n\nImagine1day has zero tolerance for violations of Child and Adult Safeguarding, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, and the Code of Conduct.
