Our team has a broad mandate across market, credit, capital, and operational risk. You'll collaborate daily with traders, quantitative researchers, and software engineers while helping shape the firm's approach to risk across existing and emerging trading strategies. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team with significant visibility across the business, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the ability to influence both day-to-day trading decisions and the long-term evolution of IMC's risk framework. \n\nYour Core Responsibilities: \nPartner closely with traders to identify, monitor, and manage risk across a wide range of trading strategies \n\nMonitor and analyze market, credit, capital, and operational risks across IMC's portfolios\n\nDevelop and enhance risk methodologies for products including equities, ETFs, futures, and other exchange-traded instruments \n\nAnalyze concentration risk, tail-event scenarios, and other portfolio-level exposures to improve risk visibility and decision-making \n\nBuild and enhance quantitative risk tools, reporting, and monitoring frameworks using Python \n\nPartner with software engineering teams to improve risk infrastructure and automate risk workflows \n\nWork closely with traders to evaluate new strategies, products, and markets while ensuring appropriate risk controls are in place\n\nChallenge existing processes and propose new frameworks that improve how IMC understands and manages risk\n\nYour Skills and Experience: \n5+ years of experience in financial risk management, quantitative risk, or a related front-office risk function\n\nExperience supporting exchange-traded products such as equities, ETFs, futures, or other linear products\n\nFamiliarity with Delta One trading strategies\n\nStrong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills \n\nProficiency in Python for data analysis, risk analytics, or automation \n\nWorking knowledge of SQL is preferred\n\nAbility to communicate complex quantitative concepts to traders, engineers, and business stakeholders\n\nComfortable working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant ownership and autonomy\n\nFINRA SIE and Series 57, or willingness to obtain them after joining IMC\n\nPlease note that immigration sponsorship is not offered for this specific opening.\nThe Base Salary range for the role is included below.
