Hence, we are looking for a Mid Office Associate to play an important role, assisting on day-to-day post-trade operations and gathering business requirements from various stakeholders and working with developers to improve processes.\nNote that this is an onsite role in Zug, Switzerland, with very limited flexibility for working from home.\nYour Core Responsibilities: \nPerform daily reconciliation of positions, trades, and cash/token balances across centralized exchanges (CeFi), decentralized protocols (DeFi), and OTC counterparties.\nCalculate and substantiate daily P&L across multiple asset types, ensuring valuation methodologies are applied consistently and correctly.\nInvestigate and resolve trade breaks, valuation discrepancies, and settlement issues, identifying root causes.\nBuild and maintain Python-based tools and notebooks to automate recurring reconciliation, reporting, and analysis workflows.\nQuery and manage data across internal databases to support reconciliation, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.\nSynthesize complex, ambiguous situations, including breaks spanning multiple venues, counterparties, or asset types, into clear, streamlined deliverables for traders and senior management.\nPartner with technology teams to scope and prioritize enhancements to reconciliation and valuation systems, and to communicate complex operational issues in a clear, actionable way.\nGather requirements and data from various stakeholders (Trading, Finance, Risk, Technology) to identify issues and improve Mid Office processes.\nYour Skills and Experience: \nBachelor's degree in finance, economics, STEM, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).\n3+ years of experience in trading operations, middle office, product control, or a related function; crypto/digital asset experience strongly preferred.\nPython skills, including experience with data libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and building automated workflows, are a plus.\nSolid understanding of databases and data structures; SQL experience required.\nFamiliarity with CeFi, DeFi, and OTC market structure, including exchange APIs, on-chain data, and bilateral settlement, is a strong plus.\nExperience with P&L calculation, trade reconciliation, and valuation concepts across asset types.\nExceptional attention to detail and a high bar for data accuracy.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nOwner mentality: takes ownership of tasks and projects, with a drive to understand the business beyond own role to add value to the overall business.\nAbout Us\nIMC is a research-driven trading firm where quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering shape how modern markets are traded.
