We are currently looking to expand our Application Platform team.\nThe Application Platform team helps turn IMC software into running applications. We develop and operate scalable, self-service systems and tools to configure, distribute, deploy, upgrade, and operate trading and supporting components in data centers around the world. We use input gathered from a range of internal stakeholders to design and implement creative solutions to efficiently keep tens of thousands of services and applications running and up to date.\nYour Core Responsibilities:\nDevelop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance, globally distributed Go applications.\nCollaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and internal customers across local and global teams.\nPartner with customers to understand their needs and design platform capabilities that help them configure, deploy, and operate software more effectively.\nSupport customers, unblock teams, and turn recurring issues into platform improvements.\nOwn the end-to-end service lifecycle, from requirements gathering and implementation to deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.\nHelp operate and support the team's systems during Sydney business hours.\nUse automated testing and frequent deployments to deliver high-quality features quickly and iteratively.\nBalance trade-offs between latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, reliability, and maintainability in a complex technology landscape.\nYour Skills and Experience: \n1-3 years of professional software engineering experience and proficiency in a programming language is required (Go, Python, or Java)\nStrong analytical skills and interest in solving complex problems programmatically\nExperience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.\nFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments.\nExposure to distributed computing and modern cloud-native software design.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.\nYou have a DevOps mindset and are comfortable working across the entire application lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and operations.\nPrior knowledge of financial markets or trading is not required, but curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.\nAbout Us\nIMC is a research-driven trading firm where quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering shape how modern markets are traded.
