The Development Platform team exists to amplify the effectiveness of trading, research, and engineering teams. Instead of directly building trading strategies, we provide the tools, infrastructure, and processes that support all software development, aiming at reducing friction and accelerating delivery.\nThe role requires building robust solutions and solving challenges up and down the tech stack. The team owns and evolves IMC's build systems and development tooling, continually tackling bottlenecks in build and development processes, whether that means an impactful one-line fix or migrating an entire codebase to Bazel. The team supports codebases in a variety of languages, including Python, C++, and Java, to improve the daily productivity of hundreds of developers across the globe.\nYour Core Responsibilities\nIdentify and implement improvements to software development workflows, from targeted, iterative refinements to sweeping architectural redesigns.\nScale and advance IMC's trading systems builds and development tooling to support an excellent work environment for developers.\nOptimise compile times, improve code quality systems, and simplify software processes to improve the daily workflow of engineers\nTroubleshoot potential issues with build infrastructure and implementing improvements.\nDesign and build infrastructure supporting the development, build, test, and release processes.\nPartner with development teams to align platform capabilities with their evolving needs, and drive adoption of best practices in code health, development productivity, and maintainability.\nYour Skills and Experience: \n3+ years of software development experience in Python, Java, and/or C++ required. \nKnowledge of stable, dependable build environments and rapid feedback cycles. \nPrior experience with Bazel or other monorepo-build software required.\nExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity and GoCD.\nExperience with containerization technologies and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in interacting with stakeholders across all phases of product design, development, and delivery.\nAbout Us\nIMC is a research-driven trading firm where quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering shape how modern markets are traded.
