You’ll collaborate with senior staff on larger, high-complexity work while providing engineering solutions and advice that help clients achieve positive outcomes. You will also support project delivery through analysis, design, and implementation oversight-while working within budget and collaborating across teams to meet project goals.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nPerform complex engineering calculations as assigned (e.g., hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, or calculations to balance site earthwork)\nSupport water and sewer system designs for smaller private systems and larger municipal systems\nPrepare grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans\nCoordinate and oversee permit application efforts for a variety of municipalities\nLead civil engineering analysis and design efforts; utilize engineering software and tools to develop designs, specifications, and calculations per code requirements and IMEG standards\nPartner with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information; build and maintain client relationships through professional communication\nLead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts to meet deadlines and objectives; document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring design progress (percent complete and fee expended)\nProvide in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet IMEG, industry, and client requirements\nPrioritize safety and regulatory compliance; interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to project needs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams\nIdentify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License required\n5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the Civil Engineering and Construction industry required.\nProficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications\nStrong training and mentoring skills\nProficiency of industry standard engineering software and tools\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills\nEagerness to adapt to new challenges\nProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook\nAbility to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups\nAbility to travel up to 15% with occasional overnight stays\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.\nWhy Join Us IMEG puts people first-with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact.
