This position will be expected to work within the project’s monetary budget as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.As a co-op intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience over the course 3-12 months depending on the length of the program.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nAssist with design portions of a project related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards\n\nAssist with researching resources for commercially available equipment;\n\nAssist with good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files\n\nAssist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers\n\nAssist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress\n\nAssist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check\n\nAssist with preparation and issuance of addendum information\n\nConduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nStrong interest in design consulting\n\nPrevious exposure to CAD and/or BIM software\n\nProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook\n\nAbility to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups\n\nEducation and Experience\nCompleted at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in ElectricalEngineering, or equivalent required\n\nPrior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred\n\nPhysical Requirements\nRegularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25\n\nPounds\nOccasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or\n\narms, and grasp or pull\nWill have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises\n\nIMEG, an employee-owned corporation, is committed to investing in employees’ futures through professional development programs and opportunities for career advancement.
