Institutional\nCareer Paths: Technical Leadership or Project Management\nOwnership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP)\nTravel: Up to 15%\nWork Schedule: Full-time hybrid\nSponsorship: Not available\nWhat You'll Do\nLead analysis and design efforts for structural systems, using engineering software and tools to develop designs, specifications, and calculations that meet code requirements and IMEG standards. \nGather client requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships through professional communication. \nSupport consulting-project execution through project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities that meet deadlines and objectives. \nDocument client design decisions and instructions, and monitor design progress against percent complete and fee expended. \nAnalyze engineering problems and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical, efficient solutions. \nConduct in-process reviews of structural system designs, calculations, and specifications, and apply quality-control processes. \nStay current on structural engineering trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals. \nIdentify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager. \nOversee projects from conception through construction, including designs, construction documents, submittals, requests for information, and job site observations. \nPrioritize safety and conduct work in an ethical and professional manner. \nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Education\nBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required \nProfessional Engineer (PE) License required \nExperience\n5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry \nRequired Skills/Abilities\nProficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications \nStrong technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in mechanics and materials, load paths, design techniques, design standards including steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and concepts involved in structural systems of buildings and structures \nStrong training and mentoring skills \nProficiency of industry standard engineering software and tools including structural engineering design and analysis software \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills;
