Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology systems in buildings through a paid, mentored internship with real project work.\nIn this role, you'll support project documentation, coordination, and budget-conscious design efforts while working with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. With a low-voltage focus area, you'll contribute to education and institutional work while learning from a team with deep experience in security and technology systems consulting.\nAt a Glance\nLocation: St. Louis, MO\nDiscipline: Technology\nMarkets: Education; Institutional; MEP\nOwnership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP)\nWork Schedule: Full-time in office\nProgram Length: 10-12 week summer program\nSponsorship: Not available\nWhat You'll Do\n· Assist with design portions of technology projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards\n· Research commercially available equipment\n· Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files\n· Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers\n· Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress\n· Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check\n· Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information\n· Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services as required by the contract services agreement\n· Perform other duties assigned by the employer\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired\n· Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required\n· Strong interest in building design consulting\n· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\n· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills\n· Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenge\n· Developing proficiency in the use of BIM software\n· Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups\n· Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook\nPreferred\n· Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred\nAbout the Team\nThis team has a diverse set of backgrounds.
