TKO also services and partners with major sports rights holders through IMG, an industry-leading global sports marketing agency; and On Location, a global leader in premium experiential hospitality.\n\nIMG’s Studios are looking for an experienced Lead Broadcast Engineer on an initial 2-year fixed-term contract to be responsible for facilitating the Operations and Engineering of Technical Facilities at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.\nThe successful candidate will primarily support our key client, Apple, and play a central role in the delivery of Formula 1 (F1) broadcast operations, across their 5 year deal, ensuring the highest standards of technical performance and reliability across all services\nKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities\nTo facilitate the smooth running and high quality of service for all live operations through the technical facilities.\n\nOwnership of the Engineering and delivery of Live feeds through technical facilities.\n\nThe management of Live Event Supervisors, MCR operators and Transmission operators for all live operations.\n\nTo be the point of reference for the clients\n\nEnsuring that there are correct staffing levels in line with live event needs.\n\nWork closely with the Live Event Supervisors to ensure the smooth running of the live operations\n\nLiaise closely with the Commercials and Tech Service Operations teams and Delivery Operations Supervisor to ensure that the clients are supported, pre, during and post events.\n\nEnsure that client operations and technical facilities meet client requirements and expectations.\n\nHighlight potential issues and offer solutions to provide the required services.\n\nEnsure all interested parties are fully informed regarding any issues that arise and suggest steps to prevent re-occurrence.\n\nCreation of reports when incidents arise and distribute to all relevant parties.\n\nEnsure that there are sufficient knowledge and skill base available throughout the team.\n\nDocument and communicate technical and operational procedures.\n\nDocument and communicate operational issues.\n\nTo be an approachable and highly knowledgeable point of reference for all aspects of point of presence operation.\n\nRecommend operational improvements to the technical workflow.\n\nRecommend potential technical strategies for the delivery of services.\n\nKnowledge and Experience\nA proven background in broadcast engineering, with experience at management level\n\nExcellent knowledge of broadcast technology and working methods.\n\nExtensive experience in a live television environment.\n\nIn depth knowledge of transmission systems, including SCTE and closed captions\n\nExtensive knowledge of video encoding and streaming protocols\n\nKnowledge of TV production processes.\n\nKnowledge of post-production workflows.\n\nDemonstrated established and commercially productive relationships with clients and service providers\n\nSkills and Abilities\nA technical and/or engineering background and keen interest in broadcast technology.\n\nLeadership skills and an ability to manage and motivate people in a live environment.\n\nProvide clear instructions for addressing current issues and future challenges.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to keep calm and react positively in a pressured live environment.\n\nCommunicate effectively while addressing technical issues keeping clients informed.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis role is based at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge\n\nThis is a 2-year fixed term contract\n\nYou will be required to work unsociable hours including occasional weekends, late nights and overnights to provide cover during live events.\n\n TKO EEO Statement:\nTKO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding non-discrimination in employment.
