Position Responsibilities: \nCI/CD & Deployments:\nConfigure, manage, and improve Bitbucket pipelines for deploying our\napplications to staging and production.\nImprove CI pipeline speed, reliability, and security in collaboration with our Cloud Security Engineer.\nAssist developers and QA teams with deployments.\nWork with Docker and AWS ECR for container builds and deployment workflows.\nMonitoring & Incident Response:\nReview and investigate system issues flagged by Sentry, NewRelic, and CloudWatch.\nMonitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.\nRespond to production and staging issues, including database latency, unresponsive resources, or failed jobs.\nEnvironment & Infrastructure Management:\nMaintain and support non-production environments used by developers and QA.\nMaintain and improve AWS infrastructure and Terraform resources.\nPerform updates and upgrades to AWS services as needed to ensure reliability and ability to scale.\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement:\nPartner with engineers to design systems that are scalable, observable, and resilient.\nWork closely with our cloud security engineer to ensure secure configurations in CI/CD, AWS, and containerized workloads.\nContribute ideas and improvements to workflows, automation, and monitoring strategies.\nLeverage AI to automate monitoring and diagnosis. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles.\nStrong experience configuring CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar).\nExperience configuring, debugging and deploying PHP applications\nHands-on experience with Docker and AWS ECR for container builds and deployments.\nStrong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, ECS, Lambda, etc.) and Terraform for infrastructure as code.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Sentry, CloudWatch, or similar.\nStrong troubleshooting skills for debugging performance issues in databases, applications, and distributed systems.\nExperience with modern software development workflows (agile teams, code reviews, branching strategies).\nStrong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).\nExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.\nInterest in leveraging AI agents to automate monitoring and diagnosis workflows","description_format":"text","description_chars":3371,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T21:23:26Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":10,"expected_fill_days":32,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-04T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/imgacademy-devops-site-reliability-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/imgacademy-devops-site-reliability-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-05T01:17:25Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1694,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3306,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-06T00:00:00Z"}}}
