At IMI, you’ll find a supportive, collaborative and inclusive environment where you can truly thrive.\nRole Overview:\nThe Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products in accordance with work orders, blueprints, specifications, and established quality standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality products by performing a variety of assembly operations, equipment setup and adjustment, product testing, and quality inspections.\nAssemblers work across multiple production areas and workstations to support production schedules and meet customer requirements. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, quality-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork from work orders, listings, charts, blueprints and verbal instructions to:\nRotate between the departments, bench work centers, assembly machines (includes rolling lathes where applicable), on a regular basis to meet scheduling requirements.\nCheck item descriptions for appropriateness and overall condition of component parts prior to the assembly of various bore size product units.\nChange over, operate and adjust equipment to perform where needed; spin riveting, assembly of piston rod components, proper forming/sealing operations.\nAssemble product subassemblies and complete units by aligning/mating/various component parts utilizing hand, press, and/or rolling operations.\nLubricate products.\nImpart product identification on units.\nClean parts and assemblies as needed.\nInspect units for free operation and physical imperfections.\nInsert completed units into test stand fixtures and conduct standardized leak tests\nPackage units for free operation and physical imperfections.\nPackage units as specified.\nRework rejected product as specified by test results replacing indicated components.\nPlace completed work in designated location.\nNotify supervisory personnel of equipment and operating difficulties.\nOther duties assigned.\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nManufacturing experience\nMust have basic reading comprehension and writing skills, be able to work from verbal and written instructions.\nMust have good attendance and work record.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last minute requests.\nLocation: University Park, IL Onsite\nWhat IMI Can Offer You\nAt IMI, one of our top priorities is to create an inclusive culture of health.
