At IMI, you’ll find a supportive, collaborative and inclusive environment where you can truly thrive.\nRole Overview:\nThe HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management, development, and running of all aspects of HSE in conjunction with continuous improvement principles at the University Park, IL location.\nThe HSE Manager will be an ambassador and role model for our University Park site and will act with integrity and in accordance with company policies at all times.\nWork Environment: University Park, IL Onsite Daily\nKey Responsibilities:\nDrive and develop in conjunction with the site senior leadership team the company’s HSE strategy through innovation, best practice and ensuring corporate sustainable development.\nProvide leadership, direction, coaching and guidance to the site team.\nDevelop and set goals & targets aligned with the business unit and group, monitor progress and track performance of the organization.\nAct as the main point of contact on all HSE matters, internally and externally, providing technical support where appropriate to effectively manage all aspects of HSE.\nSupport the development, implementation and updating of the HSE Policies and procedures in line with the IMI HSE Framework.\nSupport and author accident/incident investigations, working with facility, insurance, and individual to process incident documentation and drive continuous improvement of all processes.\nCarry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.\nPrepare and implement appropriate KPI’s to drive company and departmental HSE performance.\nEnsure regulatory compliance in line with local legislation and communicate any changes to the Management Team.\nCarry out and lead internal, external, customer, sub-contractor, and regulatory risk assessments / audits / inspections, as required.\nEnsure that there is an audit program in place which is communicated throughout the business at the relevant timescales in line with Group, customer, and regulatory requirements.\nEnsure the availability of suitable material, resource and safety equipment across the business unit required for the effective operation of HSE regulatory requirements.\nMonitor industrial hygiene program.\nTake the lead for all HSE related committees on site.\nSupport the HR department with the HSE induction process during onboarding and HSE training requirements throughout the employee lifecycle.\nCarry out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.\nCritical Competencies for Success:\nBachelor degree required, preferably in a related field.\nQualified to NEBOSH international certificate OR equivalent local HSE certification (SMP, CSM or CSP).RCCA, HAZWOPER, Confined Space, LOTO, and Train the Trainer certifications a plus.\n\nRequires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HSE related position and thorough technical / practical knowledge of HSE regulations within a manufacturing environment.\nProven record of success in HSE with strong understanding and exposure to operational activities in a similar industry.\nSuccessful management experience in similar organization. Proven record delivering results and improved performance combined with the ability to inspire and manage development activity through strong influencing ability.\nDemonstrate ability to work in a metrics focused environment including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and analysis.\nExperience of working within a high performing environment with skills in managing both core process and bringing a creative and innovative approach.\nOperating within a global manufacturing/ technology business and a balance of working both strategically and operationally.\nPossess a strong working knowledge of HSE management systems, environmental, fire and industrial hygiene processes, ergonomics, incident reporting and investigation procedures, auditing and safety systems and processes.\nUnderstanding of the relevant ISO accreditation framework is desirable.\nAuditing management systems (e.g., ISO 19011) would be an advantage.\nEvidence of working with and implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques.\nStrong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint).\nPay range: $120k - $140k\nWithin this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
