We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.\nAbout the role:\n The Lab Operations Specialist works closely with the Lab Operations team to ensure the laboratory runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with GLP standards and other regulatory requirements. This role is critical to supporting our cutting-edge immunological research in New York, with a strong focus on core lab support functions and specialized biorepository support, in addition to general lab operations.\nLocation: New York City, NY (on-site role)\nWhat will you do?\nBiorepository and Sample Support: Provide support for the Lab Operations Manager in executing the end-to-end workflow for incoming shipments while maintaining strict chain-of-custody and documentation.\nCore Lab Support: Support essential core lab functions, including the processing of biological samples, reagents validation, and material QC. Provide other lab support functions as needed.\nInventory and Procurement Management: Manage the lab supplies inventory and restocking. Assist with inventory control reporting and any related activity.\nIngoing/ Outgoing Shipments: Assist with shipping and freight carrier requests and execution and coordinate logistics.\nLaboratory Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and organization across all laboratory spaces, based on internal SOP and regulatory requirements.\nSafety and EHS Compliance: Assist with EHS compliance activities. Serve as a trained backup emergency contact and first responder, participating in the on-call rotation as required for after-hours support.\nRequirements\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree, preferably in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.\n3 years of experience in a research laboratory setting, must have experience with tissue culture and aseptic technique.\nFamiliarity with an ELN and LIMS.\nPrevious biorepository experience is a plus.\nExperience in a GLP compliant environment is a plus.\nFlow cytometry experience is a plus.\nKnowledge of SQL is a plus.\nStrong computer skills, including the use of G-Suite.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs.\nDesired personal traits:\nExceptional attention to detail and organization.\nPunctuality and adaptability to a variable work environment.\nYou want to make an impact on humankind\nYou prioritize “We” over “I”\nYou enjoy getting things done and striving for excellence\nYou collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures\nYou have a growth mindset\nYou are candid, authentic, and transparent\nCompensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $80,000 - $90,000.
