These platforms and their associated product candidates are designed to be more effective, accessible, and easily administered than current standards of care in oncology and infectious diseases. \nWhy ImmunityBio?\n\n ImmunityBio is developing cutting-edge technology with the goal to transform the lives of patients with cancer and develop next-generation therapies and vaccines that complement, harness and amplify the immune system to defeat cancers and infectious diseases.\n\n Opportunity to join a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company with headquarters in Southern California.\n\n Work with a collaborative team with the ability to work across different areas of the company.\n\n Ability to join a growing company with professional development opportunities.\nPosition Summary\nThe ImmunityBio Event Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing all aspects of medical and marketing events for the company, including conferences, symposia, educational programs, and speakers’ bureau, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while achieving strategic objectives and promoting the company's brand image to healthcare professionals.\nEssential Functions\nDevelop comprehensive event plans aligned with marketing goals, product positioning, and regulatory compliance guidelines.\nWork with the commercial sales team to identify target audiences, select appropriate event formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid), and determine venue locations.\nManage event budgets, including vendor negotiations and cost control.\nCoordinate all logistical aspects of events, including booth design and set up, catering, AV equipment, registration, transportation, and on-site staffing.\nOversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring compliance with venue requirements and safety protocols.\nManage speaker recruitment, presentations, and speaker rehearsals.\nManage contract review process, HCP agreements, vendor setup, Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders, and work with accounting to ensure vendors and speakers are paid in a timely fashion.\nDevelop event marketing materials, including invitations, website content, promotional emails, and social media campaigns.\nManage pre-event communications with attendees, speakers, and vendors.\nCoordinate post-event follow-up activities, such as attendee surveys and data analysis.\nEnsure all events adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations regarding marketing practices, disclosure statements, and healthcare professional interactions.\nMonitor and manage compliance risks associated with event planning and execution.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, medical affairs, and legal to align event objectives with company strategy.\nBuild relationships with key healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and industry associations. \nPerforms ad-hoc and cross-functional duties and/or projects assigned to support business needs and provide developmental opportunities.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma with 9+ years of progressive experience in event planning and execution required; or\nBachelor's degree in marketing, event management, or a related field with 5+ years of progressive experience in event planning and execution required\n2+ years of event management experience within the pharmaceutical industry required\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities\nStrong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations and compliance guidelines.\nExcellent project management skills, including budgeting, timeline management, and risk assessment.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.\nProficiency in event management software and digital marketing tools, i.e. Jira, Concur, Dynamics 365, Monday.com.\nAbility to self-direct projects and work with little supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time (e.g., event logistics, booth management company, event-related advertising etc.)\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\nAbility to be flexible and effectively adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment\nWorking Environment / Physical Environment\nThis position will work remotely.\nMust reside within approximately 30 minutes of a major airport.\nTravel 60%-70% of the time is required.\nRegular work schedule is Monday - Friday, within standard business hours. Flexibility is available with manager approval.\nMust possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.\nLift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.\nThis position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The annual base pay range for this position is below.
