The role is centred around three core areas:\nDrive complex backend architecture initiatives that span across multiple engineering and technology domains.\nLead strategic R& D efforts to evaluate new backend technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, and champion their adoption company-wide.\nSpearhead our Multi-Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud backend strategies, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient architecture patterns.\n\nRequirements: \n14+ years of software development experience, with at least 4 years in an Architect or Staff Engineer role, particularly in backend systems.\nA backend technology expert with in-depth, hands-on experience in building and scaling enterprise SaaS with a distributed architecture.\nIn-depth knowledge of Rest and event-driven architecture with low latency and high-throughput in-memory systems.\nDesigning a stateful backend to handle large data, including a message broker, a distributed queue, and caching.\nGood understanding of High Availability and Disaster recovery for the critical production system.\nIn-depth understanding of Async, Multi-Threading and Multi-Processing Architecture to ensure our system efficiently uses the programming principle for higher concurrency support.\nProficiency in the following programming languages (Python, Rust), with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.\nKnowledge of Rust is a strong plus, especially in the context of high-performance, memory safety and ownership.\nDeep understanding of system design, database architecture (SQL & NoSQL), microservices, observability, resilience engineering, and secure coding practices.\nExposure to big data platforms, stream processing, machine learning infrastructure, and multi-cloud environments (e. g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferred.\nExcellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.\nProven experience mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions
