Overview:-

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Performance QA Lead to drive performance engineering across our products. The role will own performance test planning, strategy, execution, analysis, and performance issue resolution across frontend and backend systems. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on performance testing expertise with the ability to work closely with DevOps and Engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and improve system scalability.

The impact that you will be making

• Own and execute end-to-end performance test plans and strategies aligned with product requirements and expected workloads.
• Understand real-world usage patterns, workload models, concurrency, throughput, response-time expectations, and translate them into performance scenarios.
• Design and execute separate performance testing approaches for frontend and backend components, identifying bottlenecks across the application stack.
• Leverage existing functional test scenarios and workflows to build meaningful performance test cases.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, LoadRunner, and/or LoadView.
• Work closely with DevOps and Engineering teams on environment readiness, monitoring, workload execution, capacity analysis, and performance improvements.
• Analyze test results, logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Identify root causes of performance bottlenecks and work closely with teams to drive resolution.
• Drive root-cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to recommend and validate performance fixes.
• Establish performance benchmarks, baseline metrics, regression checks, and actionable reporting for stakeholders.
• Mentor QA/performance engineers and provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in hands-on execution.

What lands you in this role

• 10-12 years of experience in performance testing with significant hands-on ownership.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts including load, stress, endurance/soak, spike, scalability, and capacity testing.
• Strong practical experience in at least one major performance testing tool; exposure to multiple tools such as JMeter, Locust, LoadRunner, or LoadView is preferred.
• Ability to convert functional user journeys into realistic performance workloads and test scenarios.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to move from symptoms to root cause and actionable remediation.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, DevOps, Product and QA Lead.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience with application monitoring, observability, logs, metrics and profiling is a strong plus.
