This role bridges technical QA execution and leadership, guiding QA engineers while collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle\nWhat You'll Do:\nAs a QA Chapter Lead for the Data Group, you will lead a critical function focused on both the technical infrastructure and the human element of Quality Assurance. Your responsibilities will include:\nQuality Strategy & Process\nDefine and maintain QA standards, methodologies, and best practices\nEstablish test strategies for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing\nEnsure quality gates are integrated into CI/CD pipelines\nDrive continuous improvement of QA processes and tools\n Leadership & Team Management\nLead, mentor, and support QA engineers (manual and automation)\nPlan QA resource allocation and testing schedules\nConduct reviews, provide feedback, and support skill development\nPromote a culture of quality ownership across teams within the group\nTest Planning & Execution\nOwn test plans, test cases, and test data strategy\nOversee test execution and defect management lifecycle\nEnsure adequate test coverage and risk-based testing\nValidate acceptance criteria and release readiness\nEnsuring coverage for smoke testing post release.\nAutomation & Tooling\nDrive test automation strategy and framework selection\nEnsure effective use of automation tools and test management systems\nCollaborate with DevOps on CI/CD integration\nMonitor test execution metrics and reporting\nStakeholder Collaboration\nPartner with Product Managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria\nWork closely with Engineering Leads to resolve quality risks\nCommunicate quality status, risks, and metrics to stakeholders\nSupport release planning and go/no-go decisions\nPartner with QA platform & enablement to evaluate & implement next gen tools & technologies for the QA function.\nWhat You Bring:\n5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) roles, with a strong background in test automation and platform development.\nLeadership experience, ideally leading, mentoring, and growing QA teams for more than a year.\nDeep expertise in various testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestRail, CI/CD integration, API testing).\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across different teams.\nA proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking ways to improve quality, efficiency, and developer experience.\nAgentic AI expertise - hands-on experience putting AI at the front of engineering workflows, including MCPs, agents and agent skills, and building or using testing harnesses driven by them.\nData-quality experience - hands-on experience testing or monitoring data pipelines, ETL, or warehouse/reporting platforms - cross-system reconciliation, rule/assertion-driven production checks, schema/contract testing for replicated data, and integration testing against real data stores (e.g. BigTable, MySQL, SingleStore, Kafka) - with the judgment to help teams decide when to build on existing tooling, adapt it, or adopt something new.\nSQL testing experience - experience testing SQL-centric products or query layers - validating parsing and parameter binding of user-authored SQL, injection safety, explain-plan/performance behaviour, and persistence round-trips - with working knowledge of SQL strong enough to independently verify data correctness at the source.\nNice To Have:\nExperience leading test framework migrations. \nFamiliarity with OWASP guidelines and security testing tools preferred.\nAffiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA\nSalary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant. *This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting.
