AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWarehouse Operations Leadership:\n· Direct and oversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations.\n· Ensure smooth coordination between departments to meet production and shipping goals.\n· Identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend and implement improvements to increase productivity and accuracy.\n· Monitor workflow to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.\n· Allocate resources effectively to meet shifting demands.\nOutbound Shipment Management:\n· Supervise the picking, staging, and loading of outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantity and product selection.\n· Verify shipment approvals and ensure correct carrier assignment and dispatch in a timely manner.\n· Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the outbound process to ensure minimal disruption.\nInbound Shipment Supervision:\n· Oversee unloading, staging, and accurate labeling of inbound shipments.\n· Ensure that all OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) issues are reported and resolved promptly.\n· Maintain up-to-date records in the warehouse management system (WMS) for all inbound shipments.\nEquipment and Trailer Oversight:\n· Ensure proper organization and maintenance of trailers and warehouse equipment.\n· Schedule routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with regulations.\n· Monitor equipment usage and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.\nSpecial Project Execution:\n· Coordinate and manage special projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.\n· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects aimed at improving warehouse operations.\nInventory Control & Cycle Counting:\n· Lead daily cycle counts, oversee inventory reconciliation efforts, and ensure accurate stock levels.\n· Develop and implement best practices for inventory management, ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly.\nEmployee Supervision and Development:\n· Supervise and develop warehouse staff, ensuring proper training, skill development, and adherence to safety protocols.\n· Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide coaching to enhance productivity and team cohesion.\n· Assist with hiring, onboarding, and continuous training programs to maintain a skilled workforce.\nSafety & Compliance:\n· Ensure full adherence to safety standards and company policies across all warehouse activities.\n· Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as needed.\n· Ensure all employees are properly trained in safety protocols and regulatory compliance.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\n· Maintain accurate records and reports on all warehouse operations, including daily activities, performance metrics, and incidents.\n· Generate reports for upper management and recommend improvements based on data-driven insight\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. required and four (4) years work experience of which two (2) years would have been in supervising personnel in the area of warehouse in a public or private organization, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement.\nForklift certification preferred and operate an order picker.\nLICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS: (If license(s) or certification(s) is required to practice a trade or profession, you must attach a copy.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\n· Knowledge of the safety and legal procedures for handling and receiving goods.\n· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\n· Knowledge of general buildings and warehouse work practices and procedures.\n· Knowledge of general warehouse cleaning procedures.\n· Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records regarding shipment work.\n· Ability to practice safety procedures for all equipment used.\n· Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crises, strong leadership and motivational skills with effective team building capabilities.\n· Ability to maintain good planning, excellent managerial and organizational skills.\n· Ability to follow instruction and work independently with limited supervision.\n· Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.\n· Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.\n· Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.\n· Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff.\n· Ability to perform other duties as assigned.\n· Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.\nAbility to use computer hardware, various software programs and technologies, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.\nAbility to maintain a valid Texas Driver License and a good driving record.\nAbility to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.\nRequired to comply with all IMPERATIVE’s policies and procedures.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed outside having a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, such as: fumes, smoke or gases, dust, grease, and oils. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours and on-call status. Capable of working closely with others, and with moving objects or vehicles in an excessive noisy environment. Exposure to unknown and dangerous conditions. Traveling 10% of time. Work requires straight pulling, simple and dual simultaneous grasping, standing, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, stooping, reaching above shoulders, climbing stairs, walking, carrying over 45 pounds, and moderate lifting over 45 pounds.
