Join Impinj and help us realize our vision of a boundless IoT- connecting trillions of everyday items to the Internet. \nTeam Overview:\nAs a Senior Field Applications Engineer at Impinj, you will serve as the primary field-deployed technical liaison between Impinj and our global ecosystem partners, channel partners, and end-user customers. This role works closely with our India sales lead, including traveling to customer sites to provide on-site support and answer technical questions from customers. Combining deep RF and RAIN RFID technical expertise with strong customer-facing skills, you'll drive pre-sales enablement, product industrialization, and post-sales support across India. India is a growing market for RAIN RFID, especially with its push into digitization. We hope you'll join us to help lead this transformation and become part of Impinj's exciting journey!\nWhat you will do:\nServe as the primary technical liaison for end-user customers, channel partners, and complementary technology partners\nSupport pre-sales efforts by aligning the technical benefits of Impinj products to customer requirements, including writing proposals and delivering technical presentations\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex field issues through structured root cause analysis\nDevelop and implement solution strategies that address significant business challenges for customers who can benefit from item intelligence using Impinj's RAIN RFID solutions\nDevelop innovative product demonstrations along with training programs and support customer trials and pilots\nFacilitate multi-partner solution development initiatives and work with the sales account manager to extend Impinj's solutions into new verticals\nContribute to the improvement of Solutions Engineering processes and resources\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with technical staff and key contacts across partner organizations and internal Impinj departments\nDevelop deep understanding of customer needs and convey insights to product management, applications engineering and marketing to inform product strategy and roadma\nProvide in-region, proactive and reactive technical support to ecosystem partners industrializing new products based on Impinj RAIN RFID UHF tag ICs and Reader ICs\nAssist and advise Impinj RFID Tag IC customers on manufacturing best practices and provide onsite technical support for RFID wafer, tag, and inlay qualification and manufacturing\nProvide end-user support for key acceptance and quality milestones in production deployments\nParticipate in trade shows alongside marketing and sales team members\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree (Master's in Engineering) is a plus but not required\n7+ years of experience in field applications engineering, pre-sales solutions engineering, or RF/silicon engineering\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach\nStrong knowledge of RF principles including link budgets, antenna design, propagation, and unlicensed spectrum characteristics\nFamiliarity with high-volume manufacturing processes and machinery used in RF product manufacturing\nBroad understanding of hardware, software, and networking technologies, including system architecture, testing, and field debugging\nBasic proficiency in .NET (C#), C, or C++ in Windows or Linux environments; embedded C/C++ in Linux is a plus\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to represent Impinj effectively to technical audiences\nStrong relationship-building skills and multicultural competency\nTeam-oriented approach with proven ability to collaborate\nDemonstrated ability to work independently from a home office and produce results in the field while maintaining strong communication with geographically distributed colleagues\nWillingness and ability to travel 25-50%, including international travel\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.\nIndividual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
