This position involves operating rewind/finishing equipment to inspect, slit, rewind, and prepare pressure-sensitive labels for shipment to customers.\nThis hands-on manufacturing position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Previous label printing or converting experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with related machine operating or manufacturing experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up and operate rewind, slitting, and finishing equipment.\nInspect finished labels for print quality, color, registration, defects, and overall appearance.\nSlit and rewind rolls to customer specifications, including proper roll size, direction, and quantity.\nVerify job tickets, labels, materials, and specifications before and during production.\nRemove defective material and identify quality issues before releasing the product for shipment.\nPerform accurate roll counts and complete required production documentation.\nPackage, label, and prepare finished rolls for the next stage of production or shipment.\nMake routine machine adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.\nPerform basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.\nFollow all company safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.\nWork closely with press operators, quality, shipping, and other production team members.\nMeet established production, quality, and efficiency expectations.\nQualifications\nPrevious rewind, slitting, label converting, printing, or machine operating experience preferred.\nExperience in the pressure-sensitive label or flexible packaging industry is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.\nAbility to read and follow job tickets, work instructions, and customer specifications.\nBasic math and measurement skills.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing as part of a production team.\nDependable attendance and punctuality are essential.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.\nAbility to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle rolls and production materials.\nAbility to lift and move materials associated with the rewind and finishing process.\nAbility to safely work around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly pay\nMedical, dental, and vision benefits\n401(k) retirement plan\nPaid time off\nPaid holidays\nStable, full-time employment\nTraining and opportunities for advancement within the label printing industry\nAbout the Position\nThe Rewind Machine Operator plays an important role in our quality process.
