The AP Specialist will create processes and procedures to maintain the vendor history and process payments to vendors.\nResponsibilities\n\nEnsure all invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely using the ERP system\nMaintain both Vendor and Customer data bases In ERP System\nAddress all inquiries directed towards Accounts Payable functions in a timely fashion\nCreate Policies and Procedures surrounding AP function and vendor maintenance\nWork with the Financial Analyst to develop and establish rules to preserve cash flow\nGenerate accurate accruals at month-end and monitor actuals received against it\nAssist in Month-end and develop process related to ensure quick AP Close\nFile of Indirect tax Returns and Annual filings such as 1099\nComplete new vendor packets, ensuring proper supporting information is compiled\nCommunicate with vendors and customers to resolve any inquiries or discrepancies\nMaintain a process to ensure the integrity and accuracy of AP data. prepare monthly reconciliations\nEnsuring consistent and accurate GL coding\nHandle Account Payable month-end journal entries and Accounts\nParticipate in and contribute to the financial audit process including preparation of audit schedules related to Accounts Payable\nPartner with third-party tax service provider to ensure timely reconciliation and review of quarterly and year-end tax filings\nComplete ad hoc projects\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\n2+ years of demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)\nKnowledge of Indirect taxes, for eg. Sales Tax\nUnderstanding of internal controls over initiation, authorization, processing, recording, and reporting of AP transactions\nAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately\nPreferred Skills and Experience\n\nExperience with SAP & other ERP systems will be a plus\n3+ years' of demonstrated AP experience working in an aerospace or start-up environment\nAbility to work independently with a strong sense of urgency\nStrong organization skill with a high degree of attention to detail\nExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
