You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and deploy scalable applications and integrations utilizing modern cloud and database technologies.\n\nThis role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field who want to gain meaningful experience building robust enterprise solutions in a fast-paced aerospace environment.\n\n*This internship is 12 weeks long from May/June through August/September 2027*\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the design, development, and maintenance of internal web applications and APIs using Python, FastAPI, Node.js, and React.\nBuild, optimize, and monitor data pipelines and integrations utilizing Airbyte, PostgreSQL, and AWS Redshift to support enterprise data analytics and cross-system data flow.\nCollaborate with the enterprise team to integrate core business platforms (such as ERP, MES, and supply chain systems) that support day-to-day spacecraft manufacturing operations.\nWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code while actively participating in code reviews and agile development workflows.\nSupport the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure and stateless applications within AWS.\nTroubleshoot software issues, investigate data anomalies, and implement scalable fixes under the mentorship of senior engineers.\nMinimum Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.\nFoundational programming experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.\nAcademic or project experience building web applications or RESTful APIs (e.g., using FastAPI or Node.js).\nFamiliarity with relational databases and writing SQL queries (e.g., PostgreSQL).\nExcellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new enterprise technologies and methodologies.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nHands-on project experience with frontend frameworks, specifically React\nExposure to cloud computing environments and services, particularly AWS.\nFamiliarity with modern data warehousing concepts and ELT/ETL tools (e.g., Redshift, Airbyte).\nExperience with version control (Git) and collaborative software development.\nExcellent problem solving and debugging skills. \nOrganization capability with ability to handle competing priorities. \nStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills.\nAdditional Requirements:\nWilling and able to work on-site in Redondo Beach, CA, for the duration of the internship \nThis position may require overtime hours; interns are eligible for overtime pay.\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
