This role owns the technical backbone of AI&T systems, including lab infrastructure, test networks, compute platforms, and supporting services required for reliable and repeatable test operations. The Manager leads a team of engineers and partners closely with AI&T and engineering organizations to ensure infrastructure supports system integration, validation, and mission readiness. This role reports into the IT organization with functional alignment to the AI&T (Assembly, Integration, and Test) team, ensuring infrastructure strategy and execution directly support integration and test objectives.\nResponsibilities\nDefine and execute infrastructure strategy for integration, test, and engineering environments \nOversee architecture and lifecycle management for networks, compute, storage, cloud, and lab infrastructure \nEnsure high availability, scalability, reliability, and time-synchronized operations across test systems \nLead and develop systems and network engineering teams while establishing technical standards and best practices \nDrive technical decision-making aligned with long-term operational, scalability, and reliability goals \nManage infrastructure supporting test facilities, lab environments, structured cabling, and real-time data systems \nCoordinate test stand deployments, facility upgrades, and infrastructure readiness for integration and test activities \nLead automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform engineering initiatives to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency \nEstablish monitoring, observability, incident response, and root cause analysis practices to ensure operational excellence \nEnsure compliance with enterprise security, zero-trust architecture, regulatory requirements, and secure engineering data management while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors\nMinimum Qualifications\n8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related domains \n2+ years of leadership or team management experience \nExperience leading technical teams supporting complex infrastructure environments \nStrong background in networking, systems, and platform engineering \nExperience designing and operating infrastructure in lab, test, or engineering environments \nProven ability to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions \nStrong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills \n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\n4+ years experience leading technical teams supporting complex infrastructure environments \nAerospace, manufacturing, or test environment experience \nExperience with deterministic or time-sensitive systems \nExperience driving infrastructure automation and platform engineering initiatives \nExperience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments \n\nOperational Expectations\n\nOnsite leadership supporting lab and operational environments \nAccountability for infrastructure readiness during test campaigns \nParticipation in critical incident response and major operational events\n\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
