This role serves as the central coordination point between Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Quality, and Engineering to ensure hardware moves efficiently through the factory.\nThe Production Coordinator owns work order execution, material readiness, shortage management, production status tracking, and escalation of blockers to maintain schedule adherence and maximize factory throughput.\nResponsibilities\nProduction ExecutionRelease and manage manufacturing work orders in ERP/MES systems. \nCoordinate handoffs between manufacturing work centers. \nTrack work order progress and identify schedule risks. \nSupport daily production standups and execution reviews. \nEscalate production delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints. \n\nMaterial ReadinessVerify material availability prior to work order release. \nCoordinate material staging and kit readiness activities. \nIdentify and communicate material shortages. \nPartner with Inventory, Planning, and Procurement to resolve shortages. \n\nFactory Flow ManagementMaintain accurate work order status throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. \nCoordinate movement of hardware between departments. \nDrive execution of manufacturing priorities established by planners and program leadership. \nSupport recovery plans for delayed or at-risk builds. \n\nSystems and Data IntegrityMaintain accurate work order data within ERP/MES systems. \nEnsure location tracking and status updates are completed accurately. \nSupport item master and planning data accuracy initiatives. \nParticipate in process improvement projects to improve factory execution. \n\nProcess Improvement & Operational ExcellenceDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, schedule adherence, and cycle time reduction. \nPartner with Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Engineering teams to streamline cross-functional workflows. \nSupport implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production control, supply chain, operations, or planning. \nBasic computer skills (Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)\nDemonstrated experience using ERP, MRP, MES, and/or QMS systems\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience. \n4+ years of experience in aerospace, electronics, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing\nProficiency of MRP/ERP systems\nDemonstrated experience in aerospace, automotive, electronic manufacturing environment\nDemonstrated experience with SQL, Python or other programming\nAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros, etc.)\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
