While writing proposals is a key element of the role, this role also involves interfacing with a wide range of teams across the company including Engineering, Finance, Legal, Mission Management, and Business Development. You will work alongside other members of the Business Development team to evaluate opportunities, formulate solutions, and communicate proposal strategies to the rest of the company. This is a technical role that involves reading, understanding, and summarizing technical requirements documents as part of the proposal process.\nResponsibilities\nAct as a primary contributor to writing technical proposals, both as a writer and editor\nOwn the proposal process with an eye towards continuous improvement and streamlining of future proposal efforts\nRead, understand, and summarize the complex requirements of new customer opportunities\nBreakdown proposal efforts into tasks and manage process of collecting inputs from technical experts within the company\nDevelop and maintain proposal schedules\nHelp develop supporting graphics and materials for proposals\nEdit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and readability\nEnsure proposals are compliant with submission rules\nHelp maintain repository of frequently used proposal information\nWhen possible, assist other teams with writing, editing, and communication needs including technical white papers\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in technical field, or related \n5+ years of demonstrated experience in a role as a writer and/or editor\n2+ years of experience with publishing professional documents\nAbility to communicate technical material clearly and professionally\nProficiency with planning and managing schedules\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nEngineering or science degree or a degree in journalism, English, technical writing, or professional writing\n5+ years' of demonstrated experience with writing government proposals or grants\nDemonstrated technical knowledge related to the Aerospace industry\nDemonstrated ability to manage large writing projects\nDemonstrated experience writing academic papers or technical white papers\nFamiliarity with FAR/DFARS\nExpert English language writing skills\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
