As a Sr. Fluid Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Propulsion Engineering organization and own all aspects of propulsion system layout of a high-performance spacecraft, from concept to product realization, while working with a fast-paced, agile team.\nResponsibilities\nLayout complex and highly integrated fluid and mechanical systems\nOwn all aspects of component design from concept to product realization \nGenerate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings \nPerform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis as required \nWork with internal and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assemblies \nResolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions \n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field \n5+ years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in designing complex, high-pressure, high-performance fluid and mechanical systems \n5+ years of hands-on experience working with fluid, electrical and mechanical systems\n Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and 3D CAD models with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) \nDemonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware \nPreferred Skills and Experience\n5+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and delivering flight propulsion components for high-pressure, and high-performance applications \nExperience with in-space propulsion components \nExperience with Siemens NX\nStrong project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts across multi-disciplinary teams\nExperience in a startup or agile development environment \nAdditional Requirement\nFlexible schedule and willing to travel as needed \n\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.\nImpulse Space’s spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
