Impulse is building an exceptional team and this position is a growth opportunity open to high performers of any experience level above the basic qualifications.\nResponsibilities\nOwn spacecraft build from assembly start through integration onto the launch vehicle\nExecute critical system-level testing, working directly with subsystem level owners\nPlan, support and drive system integration and activation alongside skilled technician teams\nBuild, organize and manage a multidisciplinary schedule to drive delivery of the spacecraft on time\nProvide innovative solutions to problems while operating with a high degree of autonomy\nWork and communicate effectively at a technical level with numerous teams across propulsion, avionics, structures, software, test, and manufacturing\nIdentify, track, and communicate build issues and work across the organization to drive resolutions\nProvide feedback to design teams to improve processing of the spacecraft through the entire lifecycle\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, or other engineering discipline\n4+ years of experience integrating, designing, and/or building an aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing process \n2+ years' of demonstrated experience with pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic functional test stands and testing \n Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by operations and support occasional travel \nPreferred Skills and Experience\n7+ years of experience working integration/design/build an aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing process\nHands-on experience working with complex fluid or mechanical systems in a professional setting\nDemonstrated expertise in the design, build, and operation of hazardous processing equipment\nExperience using Siemens NX, SOLIDWORKS, or similar CAD software\nExperience drafting and updating piping and instrumentations schematics\nExperience using SQL or other similar data base systems\nFamiliarity with industrial control systems (such as PLCs)\nExcellent written and oral communication, especially translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences\nGeneral hands-on mechanical experience: welding, automotive, pumps/valves, rocketry, etc.\nAbility to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere\n\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
