You will work closely with Flight Software, Ground Software, GNC, Avionics, and Integration & Test teams to ensure software deliverables align with program schedules and mission milestones. You will help engineering teams identify and resolve technical dependencies, manage development risks, and maintain visibility into software readiness throughout the spacecraft development lifecycle.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain integrated software development schedules across Flight Software, Ground Software teams, and other software teams, ensuring alignment with spacecraft program milestones\nWork with engineering leads and responsible engineers to define software deliverables, establish priorities, and track progress against development schedules\nCoordinate software development activities across multiple spacecraft programs, balancing competing priorities, resource constraints, and technical dependencies\nIdentify and manage critical-path activities, technical risks, schedule risks, and cross-functional dependencies that could impact software delivery\nFacilitate software planning activities, including sprint planning, milestone reviews, and cross-team coordination meetings\nCoordinate software integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure adequate time for testing and issue resolution ahead of major program milestones\nCommunicate software development progress, schedule risks, and technical dependencies to engineering leadership and program stakeholders\nDevelop and improve project management processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms to increase visibility and execution efficiency across software teams\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field\n5+ years of experience in software engineering, embedded systems, or a comparable technical role\n2+ years of experience in technical project management, program management, or coordinating complex software development efforts\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, integration, testing, and release management\nDemonstrated experience developing and managing engineering schedules, tracking milestones, identifying dependencies, and mitigating program risks\nExperience with Agile software development methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative development\nProficiency with Jira for tracking development tasks, milestones, dependencies, and schedules\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, technical leads, and program leadership\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nDemonstrated experience developing or managing software for spacecraft, launch vehicles, autonomous systems, robotics, or other complex embedded systems\nDemonstrated experience coordinating hardware and software integration, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing, and system-level verification and validation\nDemonstrated experience supporting aerospace program milestones, including design reviews, integration readiness reviews, qualification testing, acceptance testing, and launch readiness\nFamiliarity with software release management, configuration management, continuous integration, and automated testing\nUnderstanding of systems engineering practices, including requirements management, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification planning\nExperience with Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps) and Smartsheet\nDemonstrated experience managing software development schedules across multiple concurrent programs\n\nAdditional Information:\nCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
