This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple shifts.\nIf you're a results-driven manager with a passion for operational excellence and employee development, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs our Manufacturing Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for a large production team while ensuring customer expectations, production targets, and quality standards are consistently achieved.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage production operations across multiple shifts\nDirect and develop a team of 40+ employees, including:\nManufacturing Team Leaders\nManufacturing Engineers\nOperators\nSet-Up Technicians\nTool Shop Personnel\nAssembly Teams\nMaintenance Technicians\nQuality Personnel\nDrive performance in:\nSafety\nQuality\nDelivery\nCost\nProductivity\nMonitor and improve key manufacturing metrics including:\nOEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)\nScrap Reduction\nDefect Costs\nInventory Levels\nProduction Efficiency\nLead daily production meetings and shop floor management activities\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies\nSupport root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives\nCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance teams to optimize production flow\nParticipate in internal, customer, and certification audits\nSupport capacity planning, workforce planning, and production scheduling\nPromote a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and teamwork\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR equivalent manufacturing leadership experience\n10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment\nExperience managing 40+ direct reports across multiple shifts\nStrong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills\nProven ability to drive operational improvements and meet production goals\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nStrong communication skills with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications\nFlexible schedule with the ability to support off-shift operations when needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nAutomotive manufacturing experience\nExperience with metals processing, assembly, injection molding, or related manufacturing operations\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards\nSAP experience\nExperience leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives\nWork Environment\nThis position operates within a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the production floor.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including:\nSafety Glasses\nHearing Protection\nSlip-Resistant Safety Toe Footwear\nExposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment is expected.\nPhysical Requirements\nLift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nPush and pull up to 35 lbs. using material handling equipment\nFrequent standing, walking, reaching, and material handling\nOccasional bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and overhead reaching\nWhy IMS Gear\nCompetitive pay and benefits\n3 weeks of PTO\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\n401(k) with 4% company match\nEmployer-paid life insurance\nCompany paid short- and long-term disability coverage\nPaid vacation and holidays\nOngoing training and career development opportunities\nEmployee recognition and appreciation programs\nThis job description is not intended to be a complete list of duties or responsibilities.
