If you like being on the floor, owning problems, and continuously improving processes, this is the role for you.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou’ll be at the center of operations-owning processes, solving issues, and making improvements:\nDevelop, implement, and optimize CNC machining processes for metal components \nTroubleshoot machining issues to improve tool life, reduce defects, and prevent downtime \nPerform and support CNC programming (G-code, FANUC/Siemens controls) \nAnalyze and improve OEE, cycle time, and process efficiency \nSupport and optimize automation systems, PLC controls, and robotics \nInstall, launch, and validate new equipment and processes \nTroubleshoot complex issues on the floor-from machines to process variation\nLead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives \nCollaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively \nSupport APQP, FMEA, and control plan development \nCreate work instructions and train operators/technicians on new processes \nWhat You Bring\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience \n3+ years of experience in CNC machining in a manufacturing environment \nHands-on experience troubleshooting CNC machines and machining processes\nExperience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting \nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) \nExperience with metal machining processes (steel, aluminum, brass) \nWorking knowledge of Siemens PLCs and automation systems \nRobotics integration experience (FANUC, KUKA, or similar) \nAbility to troubleshoot electrical systems, sensors, and control panels \nAbility to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics \nWhat Will Make You Stand Out\nExperience with Swiss (STAR) or turning machines \nStrong problem-solving mindset-you don’t stop at the first fix\nExperience with IATF 16949, FMEA, APQP, and control plans \nContinuous improvement or Six Sigma experience (preferred) \nWork Environment\nSplit between office and active manufacturing floor \nExposure to machinery, noise, and production equipment (PPE required) \nHands-on involvement is a key part of the role-this is not a desk-only job\nPhysical Requirements\nLift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 250lbs with handling equipment\nFrequent standing, walking, and hands-on work\nOccasional bending, kneeling, and reaching\nWhy IMS Gear\nCompetitive pay and benefits\n3 weeks of PTO\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\n401(k) with 4% company match\nEmployer-paid life insurance\nCompany paid short- and long-term disability coverage\nPaid vacation and holidays\nOngoing training and career development opportunities\nEmployee recognition and appreciation programs\nThis job description is not intended to be a complete list of duties or responsibilities.
