This role is responsible for supervising a team of operators and ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and company standards.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise and provide direction to operators involved in the transfer, blending, and storage of hazardous liquids across tanks, barges, ships, railcars, and trucks.\nEnsure safe and compliant execution of all product movements in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.\nCoordinate shipments with internal departments, customers, and transportation providers to meet operational schedules.\nConduct line verifications and regular area inspections to ensure equipment and systems are functioning correctly.\nMaintain clear and continuous communication with the customer service team to ensure prompt and accurate service delivery.\nTroubleshoot equipment issues and attempt resolution prior to engaging maintenance or electrical teams.\nOversee and complete all necessary paperwork, including rail, gauging, and vessel documentation.\nLead pre-shift safety tailgate meetings to reinforce safety protocols and expectations.\nEnforce all company policies and procedures, including handling employee discipline when necessary.\nSupport engineering and construction projects within the Miscellaneous Liquids Department.\nEnsure smooth shift transitions by providing detailed pass-down reports and confirming staffing levels for the incoming shift.\nMonitor inventory records and manage work orders as needed.\nMaintain a thorough understanding of product pipelines, valves, tanks, manifolds, and jumpers.\nApprove timesheets and time-off requests in Workday for all direct reports.\nHas the authority to hire, discipline, and terminate employees, or to make recommendations regarding such actions that are given significant consideration.\nThe primary duty of this role is the performance of executive, administrative, office and/or non-manual work that directly relates to the management or general business operations of IMTT and its customers. Your primary duties will include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant company matters.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMinimum of 3 years prior supervisory experience in the Petrochemical Industry.\nValid Driver’s License\nTWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT’s terminal locations.\nSkills and Abilities\nClear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.\nAbility to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.\nAbility to perform in a fast-paced multi-faceted workload and make decisions in a variable environment.\nAbility to communicate with all other terminal departments.\nHours of Work\nThis is an exempt, salaried position. The role requires flexibility to support a 24/7 operation and will oversee day and night shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.\nOccasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice.\nPhysical and Environmental Demand\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
