Assist in the overall operation and maintenance of terminal equipment, tanks, racks and associated pumps, piping and valves.\nResponsibilities\nPerform assorted tank farm & dock duties to direct flow of incoming and outgoing product through terminal piping to designated spots by aligning terminal valves in accordance with established procedures.\nPerform inspection on tanks, valves, associated piping and loading/unloading rack components.\nAssist and provide training or guidance to new as well as qualified transport drivers always ensuring they are abiding with all terminal rules and procedures.\nResponsible for inventory reconciliation to include gauging storage tanks accounting for product receipts, disbursements and tank transfers.\nProtect the integrity and segregation of customer product during the receipt, storage, and disbursement processes by adhering to established procedures and guidelines.\nRespond to terminal related emergencies when called upon to do so. Participate in annual emergency response training drills as required.\nActuate preparation and completion of all related paperwork.\nPerform any other duties assigned by supervisor.\nMust safely and efficiently oversee the transfer of hazardous substances into and out of marine vessels, transport trucks and tanks without harm to the environment, facility and personnel.\nSkills and Abilities\nClear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.\nAbility to understand and communicate in written and verbal communication in the English language.\nAbility to make decisions in a variable environment. \nAbility to communicate with all other terminal departments.\nAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.\nCompliance with all company policies and procedures.\nMechanical Aptitude\nMathematical and analytical skill\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nValid Driver’s License\nTWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT’s terminal locations.\nSkills and Abilities\nClear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.\nAbility to understand and communicate in written and verbal communication in the English language.\nAbility to make decisions in a variable environment. \nAbility to communicate with all other terminal departments.\nAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. \nCompliance with all company policies and procedures. \nMechanical Aptitude\nMathematical and analytical skill\nHours of Work\nThis is a full-time position, 12 hour rotating shift.\nThis is a non-exempt, hourly position. Employees are scheduled to work assigned shifts within a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All hours worked must be accurately recorded, and overtime is paid in accordance with FLSA and company policy. \nOccasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice.\nPhysical and Environmental Demand\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
