This role combines hands-on field safety leadership with program development, coaching, and compliance oversight, making it perfect for a results-driven safety professional who thrives building relationships with operational leaders and driving a proactive safety culture across multiple locations.\nWhat You'll Do\nPromote and foster a proactive safety culture throughout assigned BCTS branches and operations\nProvide visible field leadership through routine site visits, jobsite audits, employee engagement, and coaching\nServe as the primary coach and mentor for assigned Branch Safety Champions, supporting their selection, onboarding, and development\nSupport mechanical service and Facility Maintenance Operations (FMO) within occupied hospitals, university medical centers, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and other critical environments\nLead and support compliance with applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, federal, state, local, customer, and company safety requirements\nMaintain required safety documentation and support OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping in coordination with Human Resources\nLead investigations involving employee injuries, vehicle incidents, property damage, and near misses; conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans\nPartner with Human Resources, insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to support workers' compensation, automobile liability, general liability, and property damage claims\nSupport return-to-work and modified-duty programs, and recommend actions to reduce claim frequency, severity, and overall cost of risk\nSupport implementation of the corporate Fleet Safety Program and promote safe driving behaviors across assigned operations\nConduct or support new employee safety orientation, onboarding, and ongoing safety training\nCoordinate Learning Management System (LMS) assignments, completion, and training compliance\nConduct routine branch, facility, and jobsite inspections; facilitate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments for higher-risk activities\nPrepare monthly safety reports, KPIs, scorecards, and executive summaries for leadership\nTravel frequently to assigned branches and customer locations across Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and Iowa, with regular overnight and occasional air travel\nWork Environment\nField-based with regular jobsite, branch, and customer site visits across the Kansas City metro, Topeka, Windsor (CO), and Ankeny (IA) markets\nStandard business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility for incident response and field needs\nFrequent local and regional travel required, including regular overnight and occasional air travel\nMix of field inspections, jobsite audits, coaching visits, and administrative/reporting work\nRequirements\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred;
