leadership across multiple software product deliveries, system modernization initiatives, and future growth programs.\nThe Lead Software Engineer will take ownership of software products and contribute across the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, architecture, system design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, C++, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud/hybrid-cloud environments, along with a strong understanding of secure and scalable software development.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical leadership across software engineering teams and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.\n\nTake ownership of software products and drive successful delivery throughout the complete SDLC.\n\nLead requirements analysis, architecture, system design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.\n\nDesign and develop high-quality, scalable, reliable, and maintainable software applications.\n\nUtilize modern AI-assisted software development tools to improve design, coding, testing, debugging, and delivery.\n\nDevelop and maintain enterprise-scale applications and distributed software systems.\n\nApply Agile software development methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nCollaborate with architects, systems engineers, product teams, cybersecurity teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nTroubleshoot complex software and system issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.\n\nSupport software modernization and technology transformation initiatives.\n\nEstablish and maintain engineering best practices related to software quality, security, performance, scalability, and reliability.\n\nContribute to CI/CD automation, DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and continuous delivery.\n\nSupport containerized applications and cloud/hybrid-cloud deployments.\n\nEnsure software solutions meet applicable security and mission-critical engineering requirements.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years of related experience.\n\nIn lieu of a degree, 13+ years of relevant experience may be considered.\n\nActive Secret Security Clearance is required.\n\nU.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.\n\nStrong technical leadership and software engineering ownership mindset.\n\nDemonstrated experience across the complete Software Development Lifecycle.\n\nStrong software architecture and system design experience.\n\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\n\nStrong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Technical Skills\n10+ years of professional software engineering experience.\n\nStrong hands-on Java and C++ development experience.\n\nStrong experience with Java Spring Boot and REST APIs.\n\nExperience developing multi-threaded applications.\n\nExperience with database design, integration, and application data layers.\n\nStrong experience working in Linux development environments.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.\n\nExperience with containerized application development and deployment.\n\nHands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nKubernetes administration and deployment experience.\n\nExperience with cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.\n\nExperience with AWS GovCloud or cloud-native application development.\n\nStrong understanding of DevSecOps practices.\n\nExperience with automated software testing frameworks.\n\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.\n\nCybersecurity-aware software development experience.\n\nExperience developing distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.\n\nExperience with software modernization initiatives.\n\nExperience in DoD, SATCOM, networking, gateway, telecommunications, aerospace, aviation, or defense environments is highly preferred.\n\nExperience working with mission-critical or
