Are you ready to grow with us?\nJob Title: CMM Technician / Operator\nDepartment: Quality\nReports To: Quality Manager\nFLSA status: Non-Exempt\nSUMMARY\nResponsible for operating CMM equipment, executing validated inspection programs and supporting production through dimensional inspection.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.\nOperate CMM equipment using approved programs.\nPerform first-piece, in-process and final dimensional inspections.\nSet up fixtures and load parts safely.\nRecord inspection results and maintain measurement records.\nPerform daily equipment verification and basic preventive maintenance.\nMaintain gauge inventory and calibration records.\nEscalate dimensional concerns to the CMM Programmer or Quality Engineer.\nSupport containment, PPAP inspections and engineering trials.\nComply with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.\nPractice and promote safe work practices throughout the plant.\nPromote team concepts and participate in teams.\nUnderstand and follow Inalfa policies and practices and any other legal requirements.\nActively participate in achieving and maintaining quality goals and continuous improvement\nPerform other duties assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nCMM Technicians are individual contributors.\nIATF16949 RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Adhere to all IATF16949 (Quality) / ISO14001 (Environmental) / ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) procedures as related to the Quality department function\nQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\n2-3 years of CMM equipment operation or dimensional inspection experience preferred.\n2-3 years of experience in automotive quality preferred.\nBasic GD&T and print reading knowledge\nExperience with PC-DMIS operation preferred\nExperience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection equipment\nBasic Microsoft Office skills\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
