They bridge the gap between design and production by turning blueprints into finished goods\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the Management Systems and to ensure compliance with their requirements.\nOperate CNC machines safely and efficiently to manufacture parts according to specifications\nSet up and run CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment\nRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions\nPerform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments\nVerify part dimensions using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges\nInspect completed parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy\nMaintain proper documentation for completed jobs and inspections\nTroubleshoot minor machining or tooling issues and escalate major concerns when needed\nPerform basic preventive maintenance and daily cleaning on machines and shop equipment\nOperate manual shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment\nFollow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout practices\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and help reduce scrap and downtime\nAssist with fixture setup, tooling organization, and shop organization as needed\nREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience operating CNC mills and CNC lathes\nExperience programming CNC machines using G-code and M-code\nExperience operating 3-axis CNC machining centers\nExperience with Hurco WinMax controls or similar CNC control systems preferred\nAbility to operate manual mills and manual lathes preferred\nAbility to safely use common shop tools and fabrication equipment\nAbility to read blueprints and mechanical drawings\nKnowledge of machining tolerances and basic GD&T preferred\n\nIATF 16949/ ISO14001 / ISO 45001 RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe IATF16949and ISO14001 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent\nPreferably 3-5 years’ Experience as Fabricator/Die Maker\nAbility to operate Lathe; saws; mill; grinder; etc.\nPrevious work experience as a Fabricator/Die Maker.\nAWS certification and advanced welding experience.\nBasic knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering blueprints.\nProficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.\nAdvanced mathematical and engineering skills.\nAbility to lift and manipulate large metal objects.\nAbility to stand for long periods.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
