Are you ready to grow with us?\nJob Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer\nDepartment: Product & Manufacturing Engineering\nReports To: Engineering Manager\nFLSA status: Exempt\nSUMMARY\nAssists in the design or the re-design of all the Inalfa Roof Systems assembly lines. Generate all the required manufacturing process documentation to support both sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Direct Interface with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Materials to assist in the design of components and materials to aid in the manufacturing process.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nManufacturing processes- supports the assembly lines through accurate processing methods\nSupport all engineering change activities impacting the manufacturing process\nPerform balancing and labor evaluation activities\nSupport all TS 16949 requirements\nAssists in the process flow of materials supporting the assembly lines\nUpdates all necessary equipment and fixtures to assist manufacturing to error-proof and improve efficiencies wherever possible\nEnsure all manufacturing documentation is accurate and up to date\nChampion manufacturing cost reduction activities, including labor reduction initiatives\nInform quality engineering of any set-up and improvement upon preventative maintenance plans\nPerform basic ergonomic analysis as required\nSupport the improved efficiency & first time capability of the manufacturing process\nPerform DOE projects as necessary\nOversee PER builds through the manufacturing process\nOversee DFM/DFA analysis\nSupport CIP activities\nChampion implementation of Kaizen activities as appropriate\nReduce WIP\nMaintain one piece flow\nApply theory of constraints through plant wide activities\nParticipates in required meetings to voice manufacturing methods for all existing and future roof system requirements.\nIATF 16949 RESPONSIBILITIES The IATF 16949 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Masters degree would be a plus.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
