They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.\nWho We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for Senior Backend Engineers to join our App Store & Ecosystem squad.\nYou’ll work on one of Incard’s most strategic bets: building a developer ecosystem around our platform. This includes designing and operating two core API catalogs - one for payments & money movement, and one for analytics, workflows, and automation - enabling partners, internal teams, and third-party developers to build on top of Incard.\nThis role is ideal for backend engineers who enjoy platform thinking, API design, and enabling other teams to move faster.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild the Incard Developer Platform\nDesign and evolve public and internal APIs powering Incard’s App Store\n\nContribute to two core API catalogs:\nPayments APIs (cards, transfers, balances, money movement)\n\nAnalytics & Workflow APIs (events, insights, automation, actions)\n\nBuild foundations that enable third-party apps and internal teams\n\nAPI Design & Backend Systems\nBuild scalable backend services using TypeScript and Go\n\nDesign APIs that are consistent, secure, versioned, and developer-friendly\n\nEnsure strong contracts, clear semantics, and predictable behaviour\n\nThink deeply about permissions, scopes, rate limits, and extensibility\n\nExecution & Delivery\nOwn backend features from design to production within your squad\n\nBreak down complex platform initiatives into clear deliverables\n\nCollaborate closely with Product Owners, Frontend, Mobile, and Data teams\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on long-term evolution\n\nReliability, Security & Quality\nDesign systems that are resilient, observable, and safe by default\n\nEnsure APIs behave correctly under failure and scale\n\nContribute to monitoring, logging, and alerting\n\nParticipate in code reviews and maintain a high bar for quality\n\nEcosystem Thinking\nThink like a platform user: internal developers, partners, and third parties\n\nContribute to documentation, examples, and developer experience\n\nHelp shape how external developers discover, adopt, and build on Incard\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems\n\nStrong experience with TypeScript\n\nProven experience building APIs and backend platforms\n\nExperience working on scalable, distributed systems\n\nStrong understanding of API design, versioning, and backward compatibility\n\nProduct-minded engineer who understands developer experience\n\nClear communicator who works well in cross-functional teams\n\nNice to Have\nExperience working on an App Store, marketplace, or developer ecosystem\n\nExperience building fintech, payments, or analytics platforms\n\nFamiliarity with event-driven architectures or workflow systems\n\nExperience designing SDKs, webhooks, or developer tooling\n\nPrior experience developing services in Go (Golang).\n\nMindset We Look For\nPlatform-first mindset -
