Our diverse customer base includes owners and charterers in the oil, cruise, container, and bulk commodity sectors, as well as naval, government, and intergovernmental organisations.\nRole Summary:\nThe Logistics Assistant will oversee and coordinate all customs-related activities across our Port Agency, Offshore, Liner, and SCS business streams. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting efficient customs operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the smooth delivery of services. When customs clearance activities are not required, you will also assist with coordinating and performing crew changes to support operational requirements.\nContract: Permanent\nLocation: Mauritius, Port Louis (On-Site)\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage and coordinate the end-to-end customs clearance process for Port Agency and Cargo operations, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.\nLiaise with government authorities, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Commerce (MOC), and Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), to obtain import, export, and landing permits.\nMonitor and renew customs-related licences, permits, and bank guarantees to maintain compliance.\nKeep the business informed of changes to customs legislation and regulations in Mauritius, ensuring processes remain compliant.\nPrepare estimates and provide customs-related operational support where required.\nPerform crew changes and provide operational assistance during periods of reduced customs clearance activity.\nEnsure compliance with ISS Global Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nContribute to the achievement of Local Quality Objectives (LQOs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and overall operational excellence.\nPromote ISS services and identify opportunities to support business growth and customer satisfaction.\nMaintain accurate records and ensure the effective use of all ISS systems and operational processes.\nUndertake additional duties, within the scope of the role, as required by the Line Manager to support business operations.\nCandidate Requirements:\nMinimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.\nKnow the statutory documentary requirements and procedures to clear consignment to and from Mauritius.\nConversant with Inco Terms, HS Codes, MACCS & MNS.\nStrong administrative, communication and organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills (English & French).\nProficiency in MS Office and internal computer systems.\nValid driving licence.\nYou will receive:\nA diverse range of benefits, depending on your geographical location.
