Our diverse customer base includes owners and charterers in the oil, cruise, container, and bulk commodity sectors, as well as naval, government, and intergovernmental organisations.\nRole Summary:\nThe Operations Executivewill be responsible for coordinating and executing efficient port calls, ensuring a high standard of service to vessels, principals and stakeholders. The role manages port agency activities, including vessel requirements, vendor coordination, crew changes, documentation, reporting and billing, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and ISS procedures.\nContract: Permanent\nLocation: Port Louis, Mauritius (On-Site)\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\nPlan and execute port calls efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting Principal and Ship Master requirements.\nMonitor port call progress, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and protect Principals’ interests throughout.\nEnsure accurate and timely pre-arrival, operational, post-call and statutory reporting to relevant stakeholders and government authorities.\nCoordinate vessel and port services on-site when required, including boarding vessels and overseeing service delivery.\nManage crew change requirements, including immigration/visas, hotel bookings, transfers, medicals, shore passes and relevant permits.\nMaintain strong working relationships with Principals, Port Authorities, Immigration, Customs, vendors and other key stakeholders.\nEnsure full compliance with local regulations, port procedures, HSSE requirements, ISS policies and QMS standards.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of local port regulations and industry requirements, communicating relevant changes to the Marine Department.\nAccurately maintain port, cargo and vessel documentation and fully utilise ISS and external operational systems in line with agreed procedures.\nWork collaboratively with the Operations team, complete required training, and keep the Operations Manager updated on all operational activities.\nPreferred Qualifications & Skills:\nAt least 1 year of working experience either in ship agency service industry or in similar position.\nPrior knowledge of Maritime operations.\nKnowledge of local laws and regulations, with experience in port and immigration documentation desirable.\nProficiency at basic computer skills including MS office and MS outlook.\nMust be professional in conduct and practice, and reliable as each report are time critical.\nDiploma in Marine Studies (Preferred). \nMust have a valid drivers license. \nWhat We Offer:\nA collaborative and mission-driven team environment.\nOpportunity to work with a global client base and build maritime sector knowledge.\nCareer progression within an internationally recognised leader in maritime services \nWhy Inchcape Shipping Services?\nWe believe in building a diverse and high-performing workforce, that works together to provide our customers with the exceptional service they deserve.
